The “Purpose” of the Parisian Room

The Parisian Room has slowly evolved into a room with a purpose. The purpose of the room changes with each special event and is always different. From 50th birthday parties to fundraising events to baby showers, there is no set menu or restrictions...we cater to your needs and budget. For example , I received a call last December from a young man who wanted to propose to his girlfriend of five years.

His girlfriend has worked for us during the summer months the past several years, and we are her favorite  rstaurant. When the idea of a proposal came to him he thought of only one place. He called me and had the idea to sit in the Parisian Room overlooking the Vermilion River, propose to her, and then have their family and friends join them later for the celebration. It went well–she said “Yes,” and they had a great time.

Oh by the way, this young lady’s grandmother was my second grade teacher. My family always had a special place in our hearts for her grandmother, as she also taught my three siblings. She was the kind of teacher that went the extra yard for her students. She had a passion for her place in life; she had a purpose.

As the night began to wind down I brought out a bottle of Champagne and toasted the engagement and remembered her grandmother, Betsy Ricupero.
Mrs. Ricupero passed away two years ago after a long battle with cancer and my family was very saddened.

We are always honored when patrons entrust us with their special occasion. It drives us and gives us purpose too.

A Private Dining/Meeting Room & Lounge |

The Parisian Room is located above the restaurant behind Touch . It overlooks the Vermilion River, and offers views of Lake Erie and the Vermilion Lagoons. This room is a private dining space that can accommodate up to fifty persons. It is ideal for private meetings, birthday/annivesary celebrations or social get togethers. The menu for this room varies according to your needs.

When not in use for private functions this room will be converted into an upscale lounge that will accompany Touch. Without going into too much detail- you will have to see it to believe it!!
